AGRICULTURAL DRIVES

Sun Gears for Agricultural Machinery

Planetary hubs and compact drives used in agricultural machinery often require durable gears and practical replacement support. Photos are useful for context, but tooth and interface measurements still control the part.

Application-specific RFQ checklist

Parameter What to Specify
Duty data Torque, speed, seasonal duty, shock and contamination.
Geometry Tooth count and mating planet/ring data from the original drive.
Interface Spline, shaft or hub connection and required retention.
Risk point Replacement parts often fail when only outside dimensions are copied and the gear mesh is not identified.

Confirm the whole planetary interface

Agricultural service adds dirt, shock and seasonal duty to the replacement problem, so the gear interface and actual operating load should be checked before copying an old part.

For an unidentified hub or final drive, record the sun, planet and ring tooth counts, the bore or spline connection and the carrier arrangement, then add clear photos of the assembly.
