Sun Gears for Planetary Gearboxes
Planetary gearboxes place the sun gear at the center of the mesh. A reliable RFQ must treat the sun gear, planet gears, ring gear and carrier geometry as one system.

Lista de verificação de RFQ específica para a aplicação
| Parâmetro | O que especificar |
|---|---|
| Dados de serviço | Rated and peak torque, input/output speed, starts, reversals and target life. |
| Geometria | Sun/planet/ring tooth counts, module or DP, pressure angle and any profile shift. |
| Interface | Spline, shaft, bore, bearing-seat and retention details. |
| Ponto de risco | Load sharing and tooth-contact errors can concentrate load on one planet path. |
Confirme toda a interface planetária.
Start by identifying which planetary member is input, output or fixed, then verify the sun-to-planet mesh and the ring-gear relationship before manufacturing.
When the original gearbox drawing is missing, supply tooth counts for the sun, planets and ring, plus carrier/center-distance information so the stage can be checked as a complete gear train.

System-level selection for industrial planetary stages
The sun gear may be the fastest member in the stage, so tooth accuracy, runout, lubrication and shaft/spline alignment all influence service behavior.
For a new design, define the sun/planet/ring tooth relationship before finalizing the center interface. For replacement work, inspect the planets, ring, carrier support and lubrication condition so a new sun gear is not installed into an already damaged stage.
Use the application to decide which measurements deserve the most attention: peak torque and shock for heavy equipment, backlash and runout for motion systems, or life and documentation for long-duration duty.
